We booked a 2 hour wheel intro at the studio but showed up at the wrong location. Totally my fault. Grace and Kat were so accommodating! They fit us in to another class at their site. Our family had a blast. Even our two teenage boys enjoyed the experience and they are a tough crowd if the experience doesn’t involve a screen of some sort. We came away with some interesting creations and can’t wait to see how they turn out. Thank you!
We were excited to attend a beginner hand-building class we had been gifted, but the experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. While the instructor showed us the basics of building a bowl, she didn’t seem very enthusiastic or engaged. I had several questions throughout the class, but her responses were short. It also felt like she was more focused on working on her own ceramics piece than providing guidance or checking on our progress. When someone asked about the average size for a bowl, her response was that it was up to us to decide, which left us feeling a bit unsure. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much feedback or encouragement during the session. When we went to pick up our glazed bowls, we discovered that my husband’s bowl hadn’t been glazed because they said his writing was illegible. However, it was clearly labeled "A for blue glaze," so that was a disappointing end to the experience. While we still had fun making our bowls, it didn’t quite live up to what we had hoped for. If you prefer a more independent learning experience with minimal instructor involvement, this class might be a good fit for you.
This is my happy place! The studio is great and the staff and members are so friendly and supportive. They have all the tools you need available in the studio and the drop in times are flexible so you don’t have to worry about anything!
We loved having Grace as our instructor, their class was great!
