Had a blast at Unity Pond Pottery event today. I made a bowl. It was very informative and fun to do. Also did some shopping. They have a beautiful selection of products. Hard to choose just a couple of items today. Will be back in a couple weeks to pick up the bowl I made after the firing and glazing process and I'm sure to buy more of their beautiful products. ***UPDATE***Back to Unity Pond Pottery. One of my top favorite places to shop. Bought a new bowl and plate to add to my unity pond pottery collection. Very friendly owners. They make everything right there in the shop. Definitely check it out if this is the kind of thing you like. Top quality. Beautiful products.
Wow! We stopped by this lovely place on a whim and it did not disappoint! The owners Wendy and Espo were delightful! They gave us a tour and demonstration! The pottery was beautiful and the prices were so affordable! They shipped our purchases home for us! If you are anywhere nearby be sure to stop by!
Owner is super nice, shop is so cute with lots of cool wares. Quality of pottery is outstanding. We bought a mug and a butter bell. Both are gorgeous but I really love my butter bell.
The owners are super cute and teach great classes. We've gone twice now to throw our own pots and it's always a great and fun experience.
My wife and I were on our way home from Bar Harbor Me when we decided to take the slow road down Route 202 from Bangor to Augusta. What a twist of fate. Throughout our vacation, we had been looking for a working potter to buy some gifts. Our wish became reality when we came across Unity Pond Pottery in Unity ME. Once in the parking lot we were greeted enthusiastically by the owner, Wendy; as she tended to her displays at the front of the store. She proceeded to give us the complete VIP tour. What a great place with many unique pottery options at reasonable prices. We left with a large box and some new friends. Bottom line....if your traveling near Route 202 in Maine be sure to stop by and see Wendy and Robert (Espo) for an authentic, old-school pottery experience.
