Young Masters Art Studio

I was very impressed with the Harry Potter-themed summer art camp for my 11-year-old boy. Mary created an immersive art experience for the kids and throughout the week I noticed improvement in my son's use of color and shading. He loves art to begin with and he even mentioned to me a few techniques and art tools he learned from Mary. I definitely recommend Young Masters Art Center!

My 13 year old has been taking art classes with Mary since 2021. Her artistic abilities have really flourished and she’s always working on art projects on her own utilizing the skills she has learned through class. Mary is a kind teacher that encourages students to develop their creativity and skills at their own pace. My daughter always looks forward to class and the projects are always impressive. We highly recommend Mary and Young Masters Art Studio.

I joined Mary's beginner drawing class because it had been many years that I had wanted to try. She is such a wonderful teacher and so knowledgeable. She doesn't just teach how to draw, but about art fundamentals that help you understand the theory behind it. We have learned so much in such a short amount of time and I always marvel at how great my drawings are under her instruction. We have moved onto colors and that add another fun and interesting dimension to our work. Finally, what a bargain she gives for her classes. Well worth it and so great to learn from.

We love Young Master Art Studio! My daughter has taken classes mostly in-person but a few on-line. Mary and her fellow instructors do an incredible job teaching good technique and strategies while also encouraging each students natural creative ability. My daughter loves Young Master Art Studio. We are so glad we found these classes for her!

My two daughters take art lessons with Mary and have had an outstanding experience. Specifically, the girls both commented that they feel they are actually learning concrete skills both in drawing and in other art skills (shading, proportions, etc.). This is a contrast from many programs which emphasize individual expression but don’t necessarily have a strong method to help the children translate what they see to paper and develop their own style. I attribute the difference partly to Mary’s intentional and structured art-education “philosophy”/specific method of teaching drawing. Previously, they enjoyed art and I tried to encourage with various lessons and camps but my twelve year old was a bit discouraged and did not consider herself an artist. Since working with Mary her confidence has blossomed. She feels proud of the work she does in lessons and takes inspiration from it at home. She asked for brush markers (which she uses in class) for Christmas! As a mom, I am thrilled just to see their confidence developing- And bonus is that they are developing foundational skills that will allow them to enjoy art as an outlet and to consider themselves real artists.
