I've been involved with the Village Potters Guild for nearly 5 years, first as a student and now as a member. It's a lovely, supportive community of artists dedicated to deepen their relationship with clay arts, and also the connection with the surrounding community. Members and instructors have taught me so much about the making process, and also the technology of glazing and firing. The studio is well-equipped and clean. I'd recommend classes here to both beginners and experienced potters. Twice-yearly sales -- Spring Market just before Mothers Day, and Holiday Market just before Thanksgiving -- are held at the Guild, which is transformed from working studio to art gallery for the events. Members and invited guest artists offer an amazing variety of functional pottery and decorative art. The annual Plymouth Art Institute The Park also hosts a VPG booth in July.

It’s one of the cleanest working studios I’ve ever been in. The members in the guild are super friendly and knowledgeable. The instructors are also very helpful and dedicated to helping their students advance. The artwork at their sales have a high level of craftsmanship. There’s a place for everyone here.
