Wonderful studio, wonderful energy, every artist and instructor-all absolutely amazing! I have taken a couple of classes and intend to take more, highly recommend. Also a fantastic place to buy pottery, some truly beautiful pieces here for whatever your style might be. If you want to support local women artisans with a thoughtful approach to art and people-this is the place!

I went in and said that they need to find me the perfect coffee cup. But; well, I broke the perfect coffee cup last week so I didn't expect to find another to check all the boxes. The lady at the shop was so helpful in letting me examine the pottery and we volume tested a few until I settled on one of two very good candidates to replace my poor departed old friend. I think I am going to be very happy with my replacement. And if you read this at the pottery shop, when I got home I got a water bottle and stuck it inside the cup and it checked off that box as well. Thank-you so much for the time and outstanding service you gave me.

One of Asheville's great treasures, the Village Potters Clay Center is home to an incredible group of artisans and teachers eager to share their knowledge and love of pottery. Their gallery is filled with incredible ceramics; from a lovely array of beautiful and thoughtfully crafted dinnerware to awe-inspiring, large-scale decorative pieces - they can do it all! For those wanting to dive deeper into the world of clay, The Village Potters Learning Center provides a fully immersive learning environment allowing students to get hands-on, personalized instruction at every step from throwing at the wheel or hand-building with clay to the final kiln firing. I so loved my experience in the first class that I took there, that I just kept taking more for the next 7 months! Over that time I learned from 3 different teachers, all of who were incredible instructors, each taking the time to get familiar with each student, their skill level, and their goals and making sure to accommodate each student on every level. I plan to return for more classes ASAP! The community of instructors, students, and resident potters at the Village Potters creates a whole eco-system of joy and creation that is simply infectious. I cannot recommend enough making a visit to see their gorgeous creations in the gallery or better yet, to become a student and see how its done! You won't regret it :)
