Today was my first time in the new(ish) location after being a long time downtown visitor and WOW! The store is incredibly well organized, easy to shop, and the prices are amazing! Staff is kind and welcoming. I love the variety of items—not focused around one or two themes/styles. It’s definitely worth your time to swing out and shop!
Threads of Memories should be your one-stop shop for all your antiquing needs in Brookings! It is absolutely massive, but it is well organized. There are fun treasures hidden everywhere. Last time I was there, my husband and I found a set of chairs (pictured) that fit in perfectly at our house, and they were priced reasonably. If you're into antiquing, this is the first place you should go.
I loved Threads of Memories when I lived in Brookings, and I try to visit whenever I go back. I was so worried when I saw the downtown location seemed to be shuttered--but luckily it has just moved to a new location!! Note it is NOT downtown any longer, but about a mile away (Google Maps has the right address). The space is a little smaller than they had before, but that just means they've curated the items even further so everything is top quality. I always find things here, and in a wide range of prices!
Amazing selection. One of my favorite antique stores in town. Although, it is a little expensive.
An excellent selection of antiques exist here (typewriters, artwork, glassware, books, you name it) and the prices are quite reasonable, especially when compared to the other places in town. The layout is quite large, and it splits between two storefronts (one on Main Ave and the other on 4th St, I recommend 4th St side for parking) with a connection through the backs of the stores. If you’re into antiques and you’re in town, this place is definitely worth a stop!
