  • Masks were required to enter.
  • Some customers felt the staff was not very welcoming.
  • The pottery section has a limited number of pieces.
  • The chia tea latte was described as weak, with more water than tea.
  • The establishment seems to prioritize drive-up coffee orders.

Very small, cute and quaint coffee house and pottery shop. The coffee is delicious and they have food available as well though I had just finished lunch so I only had a coffee. My wife loved the pottery and picked up a nice piece. Two people were enjoying a drink and using the wifi for their laptops.

Did not like the new set up. It's a Coffee shop with a small section for the pottery. I added this to our trip as I wanted several pieces for our home. Upon arriving we were met outside and told that mask were required and what did we want to order. I said I was here for the pottery. Oh that's inside the girl said. They acted like they didn't want us inside at all. Not very welcoming at all. Once inside I was so disappointed. Not the setup I was expecting. On the left of the shop was the pottery. Not very many pieces at all. I did find 3 pieces, but wanted so much more. So we ordered some Chia tea latte's and sat outside. It was the weakest chia tea I have ever had. More water than anything. We watched as they took orders from cars and bought the orders out to the cars. So it more or less a drive up coffee shop. So sad they the potters are losing sales with this set up. I will not be back. I hope they rethink the setup. Unless you ask about the pottery you don't even know it's here. Response: On the brochure no where does this say it is a coffee shop. The items on the brochure were not here. No baskets, no potters, no potters wheels. So maybe changing your brochures and google listing so as to list that this is a coffee shop with a few items. The brochure made it out to be a business with a large selection of items and maybe a chance to see and talk to the potters and maybe even seeing some potters at work. It states that this is a working studio, when in fact it was not. These brochures are in several areas of Helen. They need to be pulled as to not claim that this is a studio, when it's a coffee shop with a few gift items. The picture below is of the brochure we picked up at a winery. And even in some of the reviews is shows a working studio. If the studio has been closed it needs to be updated as to not fool travelers who are looking for The Willows Pottery and end up at a coffee shop.

This beautiful little piece of pottery heaven sits right on the outskirts of Helen right before you get to the Habersham Winery. The studio is home to many gifted potters and as soon as you walk in you are surrounded by their amazing works. This is a mug from one of my favorite North Georgian potters Emily Defoor who showcases pieces at this location. If you love pottery then this is one of many places to stop along Georgia's famous wine trail.
