The Phoenix Originals

My niece requested we go there for some fun & I'm glad she did. She'd been there before for a birthday party & the kids all loved it. Prices of items are listed very clearly on the items. They walk you through how to do everything. You can browse the inventory at your speed & then you can pick your paints at your speed. The staff are present but not hovering. That was nice because it allowed my niece & I to visit & have fun making memories without having to share our space. I'm clearly not an artist lol but I had so much fun doing this!! We were told that she only fires the kiln every Thursday, so pick up is usually after that. I wasn't in town to pick them up, but I sent my sister to pick them up the next week & she had no problem picking up the finished items. They also have the option to paint them instead of glaze fire them, that way you can leave the store with your items. REALLY great prices compared to other similar places!! Our 4 items in the photos were only $33! So pleased with this place.

Had a wonderful time! The woman who owns Phoenix is chock-full of creative ideas and knowledge when it comes to pottery painting! Also she's just the sweetest!! The prices are unbeatable, and the shop itself is a very cozy environment. Fun activity for any age! Will definitely be back for more pottery pieces!

My son and I came into this little gem of a place. The owner was so welcoming and has keen sense of knowledge. We both enjoyed the day at The Phoenix Originals. My son was able to paint 2 items and I painted a plate. Would definitely recommend too my family from Newton, We're from Wisconsin.

We are always treated like family here, we will never stop coming back. some of my creations are shown below. don't be fooled into thinking they don't have a lot of colors by my photo though, I just don't like change! I clearly have a favorite glaze.....

While we were on vacation, we came here with our daughter and grandchildren who live in Newton. It was so much fun! The owner took her time instructing us with painting technique tips. She was so patient with all of her customers. We had a fantastic afternoon and our finished ceramics turned out great! The variety of ceramics to choose from is amazing! I highly recommend The Phoenix Originals to anyone; you don't need to be an artist to have a fun time and have your painted ceramics turn out great!
