Finding London Clayworks has been an absolutely dream. I was seeking a new outlet and hobby when I switched to a work from home job and chose this studio due to its location but I never anticipated how much I would get from this experience. First, my instructor ,Grace, is incredible. We started from the most basic skills and have built up from there. She leads with patience and kindness, accommodating to each students learning style whether that is modeling for you, coaching you through, or giving you the space to try, fail, and then explain some potential things that could have gone wrong. Thanks to Grace, I grew so much in my year of once a week classes that I felt confident enough to start an open studio membership. I now go anytime I want so I am often there during other classes and can absolutely speak to the skill of all of the other instructors. Everyone taking classes here is getting everything they need to be successful, no matter the level of experience. The open studio membership was exactly what I needed to continue growing. I can go most anytime I want (5am to midnight I believe) and have everything I need to create. High quality wheels, included consistent and regular firing of work, space to store in progress work, and all the beautiful glaze colors you could ask for. I can really trust all of the staff with what I create and I am just so appreciative of the flexibility this allows. It took time but I went from a complete beginner to a completely unexpected small side pottery business over the last couple years and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon. My pictures are more of work than the studio but you can get a sense of the space!

I so look forward to going to class every week. Grace is a wonderfully patient and talented instructor. And it’s creative and fun! The studio is lovely with each student doing their own creations.

I have been taking classes here for a couple years now and absolutely love it. I've created so many different pieces with different techniques (wheel throwing, coiling, slab building) and our teacher Grace is always so helpful to provide tips and any assistance we may need. I highly recommend taking a class here!

I last threw a pot in 1975, so my recent class with John Donovan was a true experiment for me. It all came rushing back with his gentle guidance and helpful demonstrations for the group. Looking forward to spending more time at London Clayworks. Very non-competitive and supportive vibe and creative inspirations all around.

With no pottery experience (and really no art experience) I started taking classes at LCW six years ago. Now my home is filled with original pieces and I always have presents to give my loved ones! Great place to learn or get back into a fully stocked studio with teachers to help at any level.
