Maggie is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. Classes were informal and fun and Maggie was always willing to answer individual questions and help us gain a deeper understanding of the French language. Very enjoyable!

If you are thinking about wanting to learn to speak french, or wishing you could go boating on the Seine, or even the fun of pretending you speak french then sign up for one of Maggie's classes at Wingspan. I've taken two and loved them both. She'll make you feel comfortable and soon you'll be chatting away with other students IN FRENCH! C'est vrai, Maggie makes it fun to learn french. My husband & I took 2 sessions of Introductory French with Madame Maggie Standley at WIngspan School & Studio this past fall. She's a wonderful French language teacher - her classes are fun, engaging and informative. She creates an atmosphere that takes the anxiety out of speaking a new language. We both feel like we mastered some basicl French & look forward to practicing our new skills on our next trip to Quebec!

I love Wingspan Studio! The Creative Director, Maggie Standley, is one of the most amazing teachers I've ever had. Both the French and Art classes were superb and fascinating. As an educator to children and adults, Maggie is fantastic to work with and learn from. She is incredibly professional, experienced, and intelligent. The studio space on Howard St. is so lovely and inspiring! Also, Maggie is an incredible artist. Both her abstract and more representational work is a beautiful asset to any space. Likewise, I have seen Maggie's mural work and faux finishing work, which has transformed buildings and homes into works of art. Highly recommend!

Ms. Maggie is a creative and accomplished teacher with the capability and flexibility to adapt to student needs and accommodate multiple skill levels within the learning environment. She fosters a warm and welcoming class and makes learning French very fun. I've loved the dynamic with the other students as we learn from each other and learn from Ms. Maggie. In addition, my children have really enjoyed her vacation camps and have grown as artists from her guidance. Highly recommend all that Wingspan offers!
