One of Peoria's gems. You enter the building into another world of pottery - Rustic and industrial, but homely and inviting. The vibe is immaculate - your worldly worries wait for you outside as you walk past shelves of wildly-creative statuettes and massive automobile-sized kilns. I was dazzled immediately. The second room, full of an array of pottery wheels and shelves, was a work of art in itself; a weathered and old factory space with walls adorned by massive textured sculpture and floor-to-ceiling painted murals urges you to join in on the fun and get messy. The instructors were as good with children as the best teachers and coaches we've ever had. Energetic, engaging, and structured. So rarely does one meet impassioned businesspeople who run their own show with the altruism of our hosts at Wheel Art. I went with my family and Jacob was just off the hook! You can tell he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He brought a light to the studio, and I will definitely be back!

Truly one of Peoria's hidden gems! I started by just taking a 101 class, but the instructor was so helpful and and the atmosphere was friendly so I decided to sign up for the full 8 week class. After just 2 sessions, I feel so proud of my progress. Also, I love when the adorable studio cat comes out every once in a while to play.

Things got creative.... and messy, when my girlfriend set us up on a date to Wheel Art Pottery Studio. We had an absolute blast getting one on one instruction from the owner and were amazed when he created a perfectly symmetrical flower vase right in front of our eyes in under two minutes! While my attempt came out a tad lopsided... more like droopy, we are in anticipation of when we get to go back and pick up our glazed and fired pieces! Our instructor taught us about all the different minerals that go into making clay, let us use our own creativity to make our own pieces.... and then guided us in making pieces we will actually show our friends. Really enjoyed our experience!
